Things are looking up

My appointment with the nurse-midwife this morning went very well. My blood pressure is down, and my water retention is also down. Not only did my weight go way down, my ankles have started looking like a normal person's again. The overall message was basically, "keep doing whatever you're doing, because everything looks good." They ordered blood tests again, and they'll call if anything on those doesn't look right, but otherwise, I'm just sitting tight here until I see the OB on Friday.

I'm also feeling better, and getting a little better at breaking up my day so I don't get too bored.

I'll post again if there's anything to report, but for now, no news is definitely good news!

hi hi!!! i finally got to check the blog! Please do put me on the notify list by email for web updates...

I agree entirely, whining is allowed! And, at least you have a reason!!! So many whiners have no reason, now that is unallowed :)

I'm so excited for you! I come up on Tuesdays now, if you're in bed can i come visit you?? I'd be happy to wait on you hand and foot for a day :) (or, a few hours... I'd get in around 3pm, then class starts at Harvard 5:30p... could get in a little earlier I guess that would help)

xoxo

Glad to hear things are going as well as can be expected. In a few months, I am sure you won't even remember those boring days in bed, and the little one will make sure you never get bored again!

Tom, Elizabeth,

i wanted to let you know that my best freind and his wife had a baby girl this weekend. everyone is healthy and doing fine, but the important part is that she went throught all the same things you are (plus diabettes and blod clots). the confinement to bed made a big impact, and was the difference between being 5 weeks early and arriving in full health on-time. its not very much fun, but its worth it.

in Michelle's case, the baby was big too, 9.3lbs. so big, that in the end, the docs chose a c-section instead of natural.

were all rooting for you, take care. mjl
