Boston Baseball Moon

redmoon_final.jpg

The red moon (during the eclipse, as seen from our back porch) for the World Series between the Red Sox and the red birds (Cardinals), on the night that the Red Sox finally win.

I'm not sure what is more miraculous....

The Red Sox gettting off the 86 year schnide and finally nailing closed Babe Ruth's coffin.....

....or THIS blog having a basebal related story on it. In your category reorganization, did you include a "Sports" category?

Your baseball trivia fact: With the Red Sox having won the World Series, the teams that have now gone the longest:
Chicago Cubs
Chicago White Sox
San Francisco Giants

The chances of a gal from the Bay and a guy from Chicago living in Bastin.....it boggles the mind.

And while we're on the topic, I would like it stated for the record that this blog reported the historic Red Sawx World Championship in far less time than it posted the historic accomplishment of SpaceShip One. I was going to put a down payment on a "Virgin Galactic" flight for the Blog's Board of Directors, but I guess I will just use that money to get Red Sawx season tickets for them instead.

I just find it awesome that little Dotty will never live in a time where her home town Red Sawx will have gone 86 years without a World Championship (except for maybe when she's 86). Is there any thought to changing her middle name from "Maia" to "Manny"?

My grandfather died at the age of 60, and never saw his belvoed White Sox (White Sawx for those reading this in Bastonian) win a World Series. I'm more than half-way there, and I'm still waiting.
